Two construction classes at University of Alaska Southeast-Sitka Campus  — CT 120 Basic Construction and CT 201 Cold Climate Construction — constructed a covered bike shelter for Center for Community this summer that will be placed in front of its building. The classes met five days a week from May 21 to June 29. CT 120 met for three hours in the mornings and CT 201 met for three hours in the afternoons. The class was funded through a grant from the Southeast Alaska Career Center that was part of “Energize! Sitka” job training program.
